Teton Elopement Dressed in Autumn
Hannah and Chris flew all the way across the country in hopes their elopement planned in Grand Teton National Park would coincide with the peak of Fall color. They were not disappointed! Every direction was bathed in brilliant hues of yellow, orange and red ... simply magnificent!
We started the day before sunrise and got another treat with the full moon setting behind Grand Teton. It was a crisp, clear, cold morning with temps hovering below the freezing mark but it was worth it. We took them to a secret place just outside the boundaries of the park and it was the perfect start to the day ... quite and peaceful with stunning views of one of the most dramatic mountain ranges in the United States. Hannah and Chris handled the chilly morning air extremely well, getting through the dawn to capture the soft, beautiful shots of first light. From there, the rest of the day would be a piece of cake - temperature-wise anyway.
After leaving our sunrise location we headed out to a few other stunning spots to highlight the autumn color and then took a much-needed break. We met back up at Mountain View Turnout for their ceremony. In our opinion, this is one of the best spots for an elopement ceremony in the park, especially at this time of year. So many locations are so crowded you are fighting for a spot and it isn't very private. This location has dramatic views of the Teton range in a beautiful, peaceful surrounding. After their ceremony we headed out to other areas weaving in and out of the park to get more of the stunning fall colors before ending our day with the sun setting over Mount Moran.
Hannah and Chris, thank you for including us in your very special day and entrusting us to capture all the beauty and memories of the day! It couldn't have turned out more perfectly!
